  • “रिअल हर्बल”

    परवा आम्ही जुन्या मैत्रीणी लंचसाठी भेटलो होतो, जेवण झाल्यावर छान गप्पा मारु म्हटलं तर एक जण म्हणाली, “अग नाही मी नीघते, माझी ४ वाजता पारलर मधे अपाँइंटमेंट आहे.”  मी म्हणाले, “अगं एवढं काय? जा कधीतरी नंतर, आज राहू दे ना.” त्यावार मलाच म्हणाली, “तुला काय माहिती, तुझं बरं आहे बाबा, तुझा चेहरा छान क्लिन अहे, आमच तसं नाही ना”. खरच खूप डाग होते तीच्या चेहर्‍यावर, त्वचा पण रुक्ष आणि निर्जीव दिसत होती. असं का झालं विचारल्यावर नाराजिनेच  म्हणाली,”काही माहित नाही गं, तरी मी रेग्युलरली क्लिन अप आणि फेशियल करुन घेत असते”. मी म्हणाले,”अगं वेडे सारखं सारखं, त्या केमिकल्स ने स्किन अजुन खराब नाहि का होणार?” त्यावर मलाच म्हणाली, “मी अजिबात केमिकल बेस्ड प्रोडक्टस् नाहि वापरत बरं, फक्त हर्बल आणि आयुर्वेदिक प्रोडक्टसच वापरते. मला जरा हसायलाच आलं, “आयुर्वेदिक आणि हर्बल म्हणजे नेमकं काय गं?”,मी विचारलं? मला म्हणाली,”अस काय ग करतेस? तू आयुर्वेदिक डॉक्टर आहेस ना? हर्बल क्रिम्स, स्क्रब्स, लोशन्स, पॅक्स असतात”. मी म्हणाले, “जरा बस  इथे, अगं आयुर्वेदिक/हर्बल क्रिम्स, लोशन्स, ई़. चा बेस मूळतः केमिकल्सचाच असतो, त्यात फक्त नावापुरता थोडी हर्बल एक्सट्रॅक्टस आणि एसेन्स असतात, आणि ते देखिल प्रोसेस्ड. अगं एखाद्या सूप मधे चिमुटभर मिरपूड टलकल्याने, तो Pepper soup नाही होत ना? अगदी तसंच आहे ह्या प्रोडक्टसच सुद्धा असतं.आता तूच विचार कर, ह्यात तूला किती हर्बल ईफेक्ट्स मिळणार? आणि तुझा प्राॅब्लेम किती  क्युअर होणार? त्या पॅक्स आणि क्रिम्समुळे थोडा काळ स्किन छान क्लिन आणि फ्रेश राहते, पण त्यामुळे होणारे दुष्परीणाम काही टळत नाही.” एव्हाना हे सगळं ऐकुन ती बावचऴी होती, तिच्या ‘सो कॉल्ड – हर्बलच्या’ भ्रमाचा भोपळा आता फुटला होता. आता मी सांगत होते आणि ति कुतुहलाने ऐकत होती. “अगं जेव्हा त्वचेशी निगडीत कुठलेहि वैगुण्य उत्पन्न होते, तेव्हा त्याचा संबंध थेट रक्त धातु अन् आपल्या पचन संस्थेशी असतो, आणि त्यातला बिघाड   दुरुस्त केल्याशिवाय कायमचा गुण नाही मिळत बरं. नुस्तं वर वर लेप लावून रुप उजळत नाही, आतुन स्वछता मोहिमेची सुरुवात करावी लागते हं.   आपल्या आहार, विहारात्मक बाबींची देखील योग्य काळजी घ्यावी लागते, आणि ह्यच्या जोडिला जेव्हा बाह्योपचाराची साथ मिळते, तेव्हा सोने पे सुहागा.” “तुला हर्बल/आयुर्वेदिक स्किन केअर पाहिजे ना? मग आपल्या किचनच्या खजिन्यात अाहेत ना. ताजी फळ, भाज्या, त्यांचे रस, वनस्पतिज चूर्ण, दुध, तूप, मध,इ. फक्त त्याचं योग्य ज्ञान आणि उपयोग करुन फेस क्लिन अप, स्किनग्लो, स्किन टायटनिंग इफेक्टस, चेहर्‍यावरचे डाग,वांग घालवून नितळ त्वचा मिळवता येते. आपल्याला हे माहित नसल्यास तज्ञ आयुर्वेदिक वैद्यांचा सल्ला घ्यावा, किंवा क्लिनिक्स मधे ट्रिटमेंटस   करुन  घ्याव्या. आपल्या आज्या कुठे वापरत होत्या गं, ह्या सर्व क्रिम्स अन् लोशन्स ? घरगुती उपचार, आणि छान दुध, तूप व पौष्टिक आहार घ्यायच्या, आणि त्यामुळेच किती सुंदर दिसायच्या त्या? आपल्या किचन मधील कोरफड, बटाटा, गाजर, मध, पपई, चिकू, काकडी, दही व  हळद, चंदन, मुलतानी माती, निम्ब, त्रिफळा, तुळस,  असे काही नैसर्गिक औषधी वनस्पतिज चूर्ण वापरुन खूप छान रीजल्ट्स मिळतात. कधी करुन तर बघ, विसरुन जाशील पार्लर वगैरे सगळं. जे चेहर्‍याच्या सौंदर्य प्रसाधनां बाबत, तेच केसांच्या देखिल.” हे सगळं ऐकल्यावर ती चकित झाली, म्हणाली,”खरंच हे इतकं सेफ, इजी आणि इफेक्टिव्ह आहे? ठरलं तर आता, आजपासून “रिअल हर्बल” थेरपी आणि प्रोडक्टस  वापरणार. काय सांगता? तुम्ही देखिल ह्या हर्बलच्या फसव्या जाळ्यात अडकला होतात? असो, पण अजून वेळ गेली नाही, वेक अप न गो फॉर “रिअल हर्बल”, आणि तुमचं सौंदर्य दिवसेंदिवस खुलवत ठेवा. तुमच्या काहि शंका असल्यास आम्हाला नि:संकोचपणे संपर्क करा. “सेव्हन आयुर्वेद केअर”, कर्वे रोड, कोथरुड. दुरध्वनि : ०२०-२५४४२६४६/ ८८८८०३२०७३. www.sevenayurveda.com www.ayurvedalive.in

        This year the summer is really hot, and the temperature is already at its peak, and assumed to sore up in the coming days. Blame it on global warming, deforesting, pollution, or our daily utility emissions; whatever the reason be, the main challenge remains how to survive it effectively and naturally. The flaming sun is taking away all the body energy and enthusiasm, those sitting in offices, homes, travelling either aid themselves with air-conditioners, coolers, etc.,but these too have their share of ill effects on the body.   • Curd – The lesser known facts

    With the onset of summer, and the raised temperature, it is but normal that many of us bring about small changes in diet and routine. The warm clothes are replaced by light coloured cotton clothings, some start intake of cold drinks or cold water over warm sips of water, tea, coffee and/or soups, fresh fruits, juices and etc,etc… One more inclusion or advise which is very common, ‘Have a bowl of curd or curd rice- to keep cool’. How true and appropriate is this? Now lets see what Ayurveda says about curd – “।। अम्लपाकरसं ग्राहि गुरुष्णं दधि वातजित्।। मेदःशुक्रबलश्र्लेष्मपित्तरक्ताग्निशोफक्रृत् । रोचिष्णु शस्तमरुचौ शीतके विषमज्वरे।। पीनसे मूत्रकृच्छ्रे च रूक्षं तु ग्रहणीगदे। नैवाद्यान्निशि नैवोष्णं वसन्तोष्णशरत्सु न।। नामुद्गसूपं नाक्षौद्रं तन्नाघृतसितोपलम्। न चानामलकं नापि नित्यं नो मन्दमन्यथा।। ज्वरासृक् पित्त वीसर्पकुष्ठपाण्डुभ्रमप्रदम्। “वा.सू.५ Curd is sour in taste and vipaak (rasa dominant after digestion), heavy to digest, contrary to everyone’s belief it is hot in potency, pacifies vata, but increases kapha and pitta dosha. Intake of curd builds up excess of meda dhatu (fats), increases rakta dhatu, shukra dhatu (sperm count), strength, kindles digestive fire and develops or stimulates swelling if any.   • Vasant Rutu – The King Of Seasons

    Vasant rutu or Spring, Known as – ” The King of seasons “, proves the name by its pleasing characteristics. The beauty of the nature is at the peak, in this season,  –  With new leaves and colourful flowers blooming, birds singing sweetly around – as if all of them are painting the nature’s canvas with their varied colours. The climate is neither too hot nor too cool and pleases the mind, body and soul.   Ayurveda explains 6 rutus in a year, namely Shishir, Vasant, Grishma, Varsha, Sharad, & Hemant. The  “Vasant Rutu” or spring – which likely falls from mid-Feb to mid-April – is the junction of two seasons, namely- shishir and Grishma, where in the climate is neither too hot and nor too cold. The season changes its nature and qualities, and so does the body and its doshas. Hence it is very important to modify our diet and lifestyle accordingly to avoid seasonal illness.     Health as per Ayurveda means equilibrium of all the three doshas, seven dhatus, three mala, and Agni. To maintain this equilibrium Ayurveda explains Dinacharya (Daily regimen) & Rutucharya (Seasonal regimen), which includes various diet, exercise, dressing, creating favorable, soothing  and comfortable surroundings as per the individuals prakriti and seasonal conditions. Here in this article we shall focus our details on Diet in Winter season (Hemant & Shishir rutu). Ayurveda has mentioned in details interesting foods for the season. Winter season is governed by Vayu mahabhoot, with dominance of vata and Kapha dosha. The dry and cold properties of the season, results in the increased demand of warmth and nourishment by the body.
